Handbags are the one accessory that we simply can’t get enough of, and while there are many designers out there, we’ve got a few firm favorites you can’t afford to miss. Here’s a quick round-up of the best handbag designers you should know.

  • Gucci
  • This infamous label was founded by designer Guccio Gucci in Florence,GUCCI TEXTURED LEATHER HANDBAG Italy almost 100 years ago, and it's remained on the radar of fashionistas ever since thanks to its show-stopping collections and trend-defining designs. When it comes to handbags, it's Gucci's 'chain' print that the label's best known for, which not only features in its prints but also on its leather products, like this textured handbag.

Gucci's known for its bold designs, so if you're carrying one of their bags, everyone will know it, which is why they’re one of the best handbag designers you should know right now.

  • Coach has been around since the 1940s and has stores all over the world.  At its helm is creative director Stuart Vevers, who won the British Fashion Council's Accessory Designer of the Year award in 2006. The label's known for its minimalist but functional designs and it's bohemian aesthetic, including its signature hobo bag.

Vevers is a designer who loves subtle details, including texturing, as seen in this navy blue number. Coach's handbags are the perfect choice for work and play.

  • This world-renowned label's parent company, Valentino Fashion Group, also owns Hugo Boss, but it's not always been that way... Valentino was founded in 1960 in Rome, Italy, and operated independently for several decades.

Current creative director Pier Paolo Piccioli is credited with creating Valentino's infamous Rockstuds, which now dabble everything from its shoes to its handbags, including this envelope-style leather bag, for a pretty but ultimately grungy finish.

  • This sub-label of the Moschino brand came to light at the end of the 1980s with a classic denim collection, but it was re-launched in the 2000s with a much more extensive collection, including handbags and other accessories.

In 2013, Jeremy Scott – a designer known for his bold aesthetic – became Moschino’s creative director. This is largely why Love Moschino has become synonymous with statement graffiti prints and striking red quilted bags, often combining the two, like this piece.

  • Until his passing in 2019, Karl Lagerfeld - one of fashion's icons - was Fendi's artistic director. He served as one of the longest collaborations in fashion history.

This label's aesthetic is quite classic, but in recent years it's started adopting more prints, including its much-loved cocktail print.

However, it's because of Fendi's now-classic logo print that fashion aficionados flock to the brand. The logo features on most of the label's accessories, like this unisex leather bag.
